Here are the some of the issues
1)Some credit unions will not open an account for your if you are not a citizen/green card holder
2)Same problem with Home loans some banks will not extend loans (I have personally faced these two issues)
3) With the realid act some stats are not giving driving license to non-immigrants that may have fixed but you still need to extend every year even if the state gives a license
4)You cannot get an homestead exemption(tax credit) if you buy a house
5)The latest tax stimulus package will not give tax credit to ITIN holders and with out immigrant status (or EAD) you cannot get an SSN.
As you all know we pay the taxes all kinds of taxes , help economy with our purchase power I can go on with the kind of positive things we bring to this country but for some reason we don't have any rights. I completely agree with the OP the crying baby gets the milk or cranky wheel gets the oil first. Every one if you don't fight for it we are not going get any thing. Remember the congress has write a letter to USCIS saying that the fee for N400 is increased but the service is not any better , why can't the same logic applied to green card applicants the fee is increased but we don't get any congress support isn't that something. Any way's that's my 2 cents....

As far as I know, Fiancee visa is only for Fiancee of Citizens, not for GC folks.

guys, in my case the congressman intervention helped a lot. you can request them to get in touch with uscis even after 40 days of application (just like in my case) and once they did, i got approval email within 48 hours and AP copies in 4 days in the mail. Hope this helps.

and also finger printing timelines
Reading the forum I understand that EAD/AP approvals are coming fast from CSC.
I have not seen anyone posting about receiving finger Print notice if the case has been tansferred back to NSC from CSC.
This is the trend I have seen so far.
Anyone who has received FP notice if ur case has transferred from NSC to CSC and back to NSC - Please post.

What I am trying to figure out is if the current backlogged cases for Indians are about 120K, how many could be there for China/Mex/Phil?
Could it be as high as 70K? or less?
I would appreciate someone taking crack at this.

If China and Mexico and Philippines backlog is like 60 or 70K that means ROW will be current by the end of the next fiscal year.

Just cut your losses and so much time that you have already spent on trying to salvage this I140.
Was in exactly the same position as you are now six years ago and had to start a new application.
I still do not have a green card due to the labor certification backlogs and visa number retrogression but at least have got an approved I140 and AOS in process.
My advice to you is, MOVE ON!
Spend your money on a new application with the correct wording in your adverts and in the more applicable category.

Its very very important to discuss this with your future wife. If your marriage starts with telling a lie, IMO, its not a good sign. Whether its good or bad, just talk to her and discuss the best available option. If she is really understanding and supportive of the decision you both make, then you have already started your marriage life with flying colors...:)
And BTW, if you are considering reentry permit (to be out of US for more than allowed time on PR) NEVER APPLY REENTRY PERMIT WHILE YOU ARE OUTSIDE THE U.S. IT'S GONNA BE DENIED AND THE APPEAL WILL ALSO BE DENIED...And you will be stuck outside U.S. with a PR...

IV is doing whatever it can. That includes increasing Visa numbers and allowing 485 applications even if Visa numbers are not available.
However IV cannot do it unless we ALL help IV in this cause. And that means contributing money, participating in IV Action Items, joining State Chapters etc.
Why don't you guys join your State Chapters and help IV in helping you?

Get your Fiance a F1 Visa before marriage. So, she is not married at that time and to US Immigration, she has no plans to immigrate. After she gets the Visa, marry her and bring her here. Technically I think you are OK, only you have to Spend bucks for here education :), which might be fruitful in long run!

IMHO "legally" exploiting the system is illegal. I don't blame the system because any system will have some flaws in them. I would rather blame people who take advantage of situations esp in scenarios like this. We all know how much time some people has waited here. We heard a story on Monday right? If I was judging you I would have concluded that you support what the OP is doing and wouldn't asked you what your stand is. It depends on how you understand what I said. since the guy is already used to having two wives it won't be that hard to have thrid wife for a change.Hence I suggest don't bring anyone of them here for sometime.Get married here to a US citizen, then divorce her after you get your GC.Atlease this unique situation has something good to offer.
