If Tamil issue == LTTE, no Indian would support (and a significant majority of SL Tamils themselves will not support). Every single LTTE member has to be brought to the court if possible or they should perish in the war. I don't know the business of this, but it is just fraud and that's precisely why USCIS wants to get rid of it. It is a genuinely OK route for companies that can't hold onto people and has to substitute.
My assumption is they are "buying" those LCs and join those money making companies, stay there as long as they legally have to stay and get out.

Who cares if dilipcr is from BITS or some Swami PavBhaji university in Arnakulam. All are same in America. For your Greencard application you just need a minimum degree that can be acceptable by USCIS. For jobs and career, your Indian degree is nothing. It only boosts your ego and you can tell your Indian friends. If you tell your American friends they will just laugh at your ignorance. If you are so attached to your BITS then how about you go and help them be #1? It is your caliber and performance that matters in jobs. IIT and IIMs can be successful in USA or misfits same as people from third rate colleges in India. I have seen people from APTech and NIIT do better than graduates of US of top Indian colleges. So stop having a false pride. This false pride is only good for getting you married via an arranged marriage to an Indian girl in India. Nothing more than that.

Help me understand here: when pre-adjudicating applications, either you pre-approve, if not satisfied issue RFE or deny. Why would only 25,000 applications have been pre-adjudicated ? NSC processing timeframe being Aug 27, 2007 and TSC Aug 8, 2007, shouldn't the 25,000 number be much higher when compared to the total of 120,000 applications chargeable to India?

Giving an interim GC while visa number is unavailable will have the effect of bypassing the entire GC quota system. How do you want the interim card to be different from the final thing? No way that anyone in Congress will allow for their laws to be overridden through USCIS rulemaking.
I just used the term Interim GC to convey the idea, it could be named anything. It could also be mere letter "...your application for AOS has been approved....formal card will be issued when visa number becomes available". EAD is a also a partial GC, it gives you rights of a GC holder pending administrative processing of your application - to work with any employer. The interim GC (or whatever it should be called) may provide all rights of a GC holder, awaiting final count in the legal register of permanent residents (due to legal need of numeric limitations) and the final card, just like a temporary driver license you get immediately after the road test. The idea is that once this stage is passed, no further questions on employment, marriage certificates, etc. should be asked. It should reduce burden on USCIS too. They have to keep on checking again and again on validity of everything we write in our application.

These Unused Family Based Visas are from 2007. These Unused Family Based Visas of 2007 would be added to the following year (2008) Employment Based Visas.
The Unused Family Based VISAS from a perticular fiscal year made available to the Employment Based VISAS of the Follwing Fiscal Year. And the Unused EB4 and EB5 VISAS of a perticular fiscal year would be made available to the same year's
EB1 category.
If I understand correctly, there is no mechanism for unused EB visas to spill over to the following year's EB, but the law allows unused FB visas to spill over to the following year's EB ?!

Ever heard about GC Line???????:))))))I havent waited for 5 to 7 yrs in India for anything and not got it. Maximum I waited would be Tirupati temple for 12-14 hrs:)
I am only implying convenience is a big factor in deciding your future and your children future and where would you like to concentrate your energy/passion for the rest of your life.
I wouldnt mind waiting in Tirupathi line or waiting in line at Jai Mata di temple, for that the choice is mine. I am talking about lines which I have to get to or have my bahadur/driver/employee if I am in business do it for me.
Of course it sounds overboard but you wont believe the kind of lines (specially the close times) where state government dispenses alcohol. (new delhi is one of those).
BTW I forgot the Movie Ticket Window line (also the black line by the cycle stand LOL). I am sure I forgot a lot of other lines. The Key is Convenience for me.
Anyway don't take it too literally but I will give you a real example. I could never pay my electric bill for a commerical place even if I wanted to. There is a middle man. If you don't go through these middle men they will hassle you every month. Will come up with something so they can threaten you with a disconnection. Now at a business place and specially in service oriented business you cant fight them. For house electric bills thats not case though.
Same for sales tax guys, excise tax guys, ca's and lawyers. To get my IT clearance even after having every paperwork, commissioner (IAS) tip was Rs. 1000. forget babus and chaprasis.
As for your GC comments that is not the right comparision, as we don't require a GC in India. The closest would be Passport line (3 months to 2 years) and you have to bribe the enquiry man no matter what, and which state. HDFC Draft Line, Visa Line (after 40-100 days wait), Wrong passport picture run get new and go back to line. Not mentioning H1B sponsoring employer line.

You may come from a fortunate/honest town/village where there is still honesty and sincerity or Maybe one didn't face it as someone in their family was a bigwig, meaning every one knew (fiction) Anirudh is son of Income Tax Commissioner or Malaika is daughter of H P Dwivedi who is MP from Rohtak, Haryana. so for those guys it was sir, sir, sir all around.
but when Sachin hits a century or sets a world record.. Mera Bharat Mahaan. (India is great) Right? Sanya anyone? Right?

Currently on H1B and have I797 - I-94 until Oct 2010.
Visa Stamp Expired June 2006.
EAD approved for me and wife. My wife is using EAD.

Family went to India last year June and returned to US on July 2007 before we applied I485 on Aug 2007.
Both my wife and son came on H4. Since my son�s passport is expiring Jan 2009, I94 is given only until Jan 2009 at the POE, though he has H4 Visa stamped until OCT 2010.
Upon arrival we applied I-485 on Aug 2007. Also I131 AP applied for my wife and son on Mar 2008 and approved on Apr 2008.
Now, I am applying his passport renewal. My questions are,
1. Since his I94 is expiring Jan 2009, do we need to go out of the country and come back OR validate his I94 here itself.
2. If he has to go out of the country, can we use H4 visa stamp and get I94 until 2010 or use AP.
3. If we can validate the I94 here, what is the procedure?

Upon arrival we applied I-485 on Aug 2007. Also I131 AP applied for my wife and son on Mar 2008 and approved on Apr 2008.
Now, I am applying his passport renewal. My questions are,
1. Since his I94 is expiring Jan 2009, do we need to go out of the country and come back OR validate his I94 here itself.
2. If he has to go out of the country, can we use H4 visa stamp and get I94 until 2010 or use AP.
3. If we can validate the I94 here, what is the procedure?
