I totally agree that non-white folks will be inspected by cops during the initial period of enactment of the law. What's the big deal about it. We will be stopped by cops. They will check our papers and will leave us, won't they? The same is true for Latinos (if they are here legally).

They would also clean up the legal immigration queues to ensure that there is no 10 to 20 year wait for someone who was born in Mexico or India or China.
And finally have a legal guest worker program for low skilled laborers.
These above three items would solve the immigration issue and were actually proposed by George Bush in 2006.

I have bought stamps/envelops and printed # of letters by myself and going desk to desk and urging Desi's to sign and send letters.

At one point, there was concurrent filing. Just get LC approved and file for I-140 and I-485. Even if dates are not current. Then these filings were seperated. Then retrogression kicked in.
Now these GCs are getting aproved. So, don't worry.

Possibility of CIR happening diminishes each day passing by and as always every one acknowledge Immigration Reform as an important issue, but the reality, it is not as important as the other issues, economy, jobs, housing crisis, etc .
Only window the Democrats have to do something about CIR is in the lame duck session, but it is easy said than done and could cause a deep divide among the parties that already have a bitter relation. If not in lame-duck session, then nothing untill after 2012 election.. that pushes to 2013.
One of the promise Obama ran the first presidential election on was CIR and if none is done on that, he probably should write off the Latino votes, without which he cannot win again. Also getting a CIR through the Republican controlled house, that the Senate also agrees on -- don't think it will happen and well.. Also time now is to plan on re-election strategy for 2012 election for Obama and team.
Only slim chance is before this congress term ends and not sure, if they can get something through. There is a very slim chance it might occur.. but again Media and special interest groups could blow it up too...
Will have to see how it goes.. or if the blame game / finger pointing keeps continuing...

From what I gathered, you were just being a messenger and if you look at my post, I have never referred to you in anything. All my answers were directed to hadron. At the same time its a little frustrating to us when people repeatedly keep on questioning our goals/legitimacy. Being a messenger, you bore the brunt from some of us :(

I see the problem with the 1+3 since that would be combining. The 2+3 usually gets accepted. However you just never know how things will go with USCIS.

My friend I hate to be sounding pessimistic but your education might add upto 16 years but it is not progressive 16 years as required for a bachelors program, most of it is redundant. your +2 (12th grade) and diploma are overlapping. Your +1 is completely tangential to your course work. It is same as some one doing 1st year courses for 3 different strems example 1st year Science , 1st year arts and 1st year commerce and then claiming he has equivalent of 3 years bachelors course work completed and so he be awarded a bachelors degree.
Please dont feel bad. I do not want to give you any false hopes. Please consult some proffessional evaluators to check if there is a way they can make your education sound progressive but looking at USCIS response you pasted they have evaluated your diploma and cannot accept it as equivalent to degree program
I dont know who will pay for the MTR + refiling in case your employer is going to shoulder these expenses then there is really no harm in trying but if it is you who has to pay for appeals then my friend it will be better if you consult education evaluators and some other lawyers like Murthy, Khanna to get a second opinion before you embark on this long and costly journey.

For those in the Bay Area: Have you contacted the new Indian Community Center in http://indiacc.org/Default.aspx (they have locations in Milpitas and Sunnyvale)? I don't live in the South Bay, but it seems like this is a pretty active space. Wonder if they would let us give a talk, and/or post flyers etc. If no one has been in touch with them, I could try.

That was a very illogical reply to the per-country limit question. How come a large number of people from certain countries automatically eliminate people from smaller countries from getting green cards? That's an extremely dumb way of looking at it.
