chandu...have u read the lawsuit outcome? do u still think that an administrative fix is easier to achieve than a lawsuit? lets say it comes down to either/or...either a lawsuit or an administrative fix...which one would IV support?

Dividends and Interest incomes have their own line items on 1040 (Lines 8 and 9)...The business income is reported under line items 12 and if one makes enough money from the business then there is Self Employment tax - SS and Medicare taxes (Line 56). This is the line item that might get one in trouble with USCIS..You obviously have not filed 1099-MISC yet which tells me that you don't make $600 a year from Amway yet..otherwise you would have gotten a 1099-Misc

I completely agree with this. USCIS has better date than prior years. PD for October is Jan 2005,the numbers available for first quarter is 750 (approx) and around 700 I485s are in Jan 2005. We will know in Dec whether quarterly spill happens or not.
The key difference compared to last year is Pre-Adjudication and improved communication between DOS and USCIS.

You would be taking a big chance if you are out for more than 3 out of the 5 yrs. They will still allow you to enter but ask you to go for immigration hearing and then its up to the judge.
Instead why dont you do this
1) Start building Canadian resume, get a canadian number and address and start sending resumes.
2) If there is interview go attend the interview
or
3) Take your annual vacation gothere for 3 weeks-1 month and see if you can make inroads.

ROW countries are just countries which are not typically over subscribed in the EB category.

It is not good to put fake identity in any forums. The guy (MARPHAD) pointed out have a good civic sense. Here admins are not paid. They have jobs, and not always watching people. Consulting companies are just the tip of the ice burg. They should really target infy, wipro, TCS like companies. They are the one truly exploiting the sytem to the fullest. They do not sponsor GC, do not pay the good salary or any benefit to the employee. I also dont see the share holders are rewared. God knows where all the profits are going. (which holes are getting filled)?

I was looking at the web site and I noticed that most of those stories can be special and unique cases and there is no research or studies to back up the claims in notcanada.com. This makes me think maybe this web site is sponsored by people in Canada who wants to stop legal immigration to their country by publishing in the web site these stories. Some of these stories happen to all immigrants in all countries: in Europe, US, Australia, Gulf countries, etc.. .and maybe Canada too but thy are not specific to canada. if you go to any countries with high immigrants number, you will see cases of people who failed to succeed but it doesn't mean that all the cases are like that.
so before you believe the stories in notcanada.com think about the people who sponsor the web site and their agenda, maybe they just want to scare immigrants away from coming to Canada. Maybe they are just nationalists who don't like immigrants and there are a lot of those in so called developed countries.
This just a thought to consider.

I am not sure about the how much this has changed in the last 2 yrs but it was the situation 2 yrs ago and prompted me to reconsider going back there when its obsolutely necessary. I now heard from some friends IT is picking up again so its probably ok to go there.
BTW its taking anywhere between 52-65 weeks to get Canadian PR now. They process ur initial application after 52 weeks only and any time taken on top of it is extra..
