It looks like the rumors are no more circulating of people being deported.
There are no posts on the forum about it. So either there are no deportations now or people have realized that they were only rumors.
On Feb 16, I invited my neighbours on daughter's b'day and one of the lady was saying that one of her friend's was given only 20 days I-94 due to this new memo after so many argument because she has to wind up all her belonging here including her brand new car and her friend is leaving tommorrow that was on Feb. 17 ..I advised her to contact IV ..but was short of time ..don't know what happened later..never asked..

Well there are plenty of Credit Unions who offer better rates if you do a little dance for them. They offer high interest checking accounts if you do x number of debit transaction and 1 ACH (direct deposit) etc. I have accounts with 2 such CUs (ADvantis & Oregon Community CU) which give me 3.0 & 2.9% respectively.
I'd rather use those debit cards that give me a good interest rate on my SAVINGS than credit cards (like chase) who give me 2-3% on my SPENDING.

Can A2p the wages be pro rated ?
if monthly wages for an employees is 1000 per month then it should be 12000 per year) company need to prove the ability to pay $12000 per year.
but what if the LC was filed in mid year for example June 2005 and CIS RFE is asking to proof ability to pay (only One year) 2005
can it been showed as June - december = 7 month and onwards
$1000 x7= 7000
is it good approch or no

My case is a bit different.
I have a 485 filed by a company for future employment.
Right now my Priority date became current for my current employer and that labor and I140 are approved.
So can we file multiple 485's with USCIS or do we need to cancel the other 485 to file new 485 with my current employer.

I have a question about multiple 485 filings.
My PD was Eb3 May 2002 and I filed my 485 last week. My wife was added to the application as well.
Now my wife's PD is current and her date is EB3 Jan 2006. Can we file her 485again and add me again as her dependent.
Attorney says no but I am not sure if I can believe them. Besides there is a risk of not filing again for her seperately as in the future the dates may retrogress. I would prefer that both of us have independent applications in as well so we can both fall back on each others application if the need arises.
Is any one else in my shoes and knows the answer

ATA conf is a popular event among South Indian (Telugu) immigrants - this year their meeting is in NJ. During this even they seems to have an immigration forum with Attorney Murthy - details are below. If enough IV members are attending - it will be a good idea to have an informal meeting among ourselves. My PD is Sep 2004 EB3. If I decide to move to another employer who could also file an EB2 labor for me, how long should I wait before they could file a EB2 perm application for me?
Suppose I apply for a position by replying to a job posting (advertisement) on monster.com or dice.com and I get that job, can the company use the same ad for applying for my PERM labor?

The President has started revealing his plans on immigration for the next year. It sounds like he's planning on trying a do-over with Congress and attempting again to get a comprehensive immigration bill passed. He'll make the case for this in his State of the Union Address. I'm happy the President is still interested in working for change, I sincerely hope he is not making passing a reform bill his SOLE strategy. I'm reminded of Presidents in the past who regularly spoke in favor of something, but you just knew they didn't really care and were just trying to appease...

I HAVE H1 APPROVED TILL 04/10 BUT I ENTERED USA USING AP THIS YEAR SO MY UNDERSTANDING IS THAT I AM ON EAD NOW WITH SPONSORING EMPLOYER. I AM ASLO DOING PARTIME JOB IN OTHER FIELD ON EAD SINCE 01/08. NOW IF I GET FULL TIME JOB WITH OTHER EMPLOYER (other field)AND IF I WORK LESS HOURS (means I get under pay than showed in labor) WITH SPONSORING EMPLOYER, WILL I BE IN TROUBLE? I currently have approved EAD, I-140 and waiting for a Visa number to become available. My receipt date for I-485 was July 2nd 2007 and my notice date was September 27th. My employer is closing the IT department in March. Though it has been 180 days since my receipt date, it's not 180 days since my notice date. Will my I-485 processing be impacted when a Visa number becomes available? Also, will it be Ok if I'm out of a job for a short time while I'm looking for my next job? I sincerely appreciate the help and guidance in this matter.

If you are planning to use EAD no problem, but if you are planning to use AC21 with H1B then you need to maintain valid status as specified in your H1B. i.e., if you can mainting the salary specified in your offer letter and if that matches your W2 for the year, then you are ok.
These are my thoughts.
