Too much visiblity may not be good. Anti immigrants also will do more aggressively. Illegal immigrants also doing rally every year May 1. But they cannot impress congress though they have powerful lobby. Congress is divided based on their area people opinion. When congress changes and more pro immigrant members are there in congress then bills will be passed easily. Now the surprise is no single immigration bill is coming atleast for voting. Then only we can find whether those bills have support or not.

I suggested this in my last two posts and I am suggesting this again. Emails , faxes to Rep will not create visibility of the problem. What we need to do is, do something big, like a DC rally again. One of the benefits behind doing this will be, everyone in this country i has their eyes on DC for presidential elections. Hence more visibility for us.
Secondly the topic of these three bills is hot, if we don't do anything now, it will turn cold, and then will be forgotten.
What we really need is a huge volume of high skilled workers in DC, not just a handful. Please let us all get together in DC again and push for these bills. We will get a lot of visibility. How about sending flowers to congress members?

I got LUDs on 2/10 on both mine and my wife's 485. My wife got an RFE email on 02/13. I do not know what this means either...
Did you recieve the RFE yet ?What was it about. Mine is a similar case. We both have LUDs on 02/10 and my wife's 485 recieved an RFE email today.

Hi,
I have a three year bachelor degree + MBA from India with 9 years of experience. My labor was filed requiring Masters degree + 3 year experience with no mention of bachelors degree. Last week, I received I-140 decline (I-140 filed under EB2) citing that my bachelors degree is only three years.
My company is planning to file an MTR with appeal citing 1) My labor only required Masters degree with three years experience and that I have the Masters degree with three years 2) I have bachelors degree equivalent with 3 year bachelors degree and 2 year experience equated to 1 year education equating to US 4 year bachelors degree.
Do you think my appeal would have a chance of success? Please let me know your opinion. I have to file an appeal in next few days. Thanks for your help.

I am not sure if this is the trend everywhere only in TX. The DPS - Department of public Safety which is issuing Driving License started asking for the Employment Verification or latest Pay Slip. I asked the officer if its the new requirement and she replied Yes, its started recently. If you are in H1 or H4 visa, you need to prove that you are still in job and getting paid. One more nail in the coffin.

For those of you celebrating the defeat of Democrats because they sabotaged CIR due to the "path to citizenship" it's time to get real. Conservatives (both Dems and Repubs) are more than comfortable shutting the door to ALL immigrants. Don't fall into the trap of anti-immigrant legislators, don't let them turn this into a wedge issue.
I agree with this 110%. Reps are more conservative. They don't want any non-american in this country. They would just say "GC or what.. Get the hell outta here".
Turning on the undocumented is not what we want to show to the outside, it is a losing proposition and will turn off the public.
As to what to do now, I'm puzzled. CIR is effectively dead in the US House, probably the Senate as well. The voters said loud and clear this week that they want the focus to be on JOBS not anything else like grandiose immigration legislation.
What to do now? Looks like another 2 years tacked on to the wait from my perspective :/

This is what I wrote. I just faxed last Tuesday and havent heard from either Congressman or Senator. To this letter I also attached a copy of my I 140 approval (shows PD), a copy of I 485 receipt notice and 2 service requests that were started for me.

I would like to request your assistance with a pending petition with USCIS that has seen an undue delay in processing. This I 485 petition (Application to Adjust to Permanent Resident Status) and has been pending at the Texas Service Center since it was received. The receipt date is June 15, 2007 which is prior to what is currently listed as the processing date on the USCIS website (current processing date listed as of September 30, 2008 is June 27, 2007. USCIS has not updated the processing dates after September 30, 2008 on their website).
My Priority date of August 9th, 2001 is current for my case category EB3 India. I have requested a status update from the USCIS service center and 2 service requests were started on my behalf but I have not heard anything or seen any progress on my case.

realized late that he had the expiry date wrong in his mind. So he has applied and it is > 100 days. They moved the already CPO date from Oct 10 to 29th, stating "lack of printable cards" (learned through info pass).
Imagine he is sitting at home, not working for > 3 months because he did not keep track of his expiry dates.
Because of one negligence, he is losing a lot of salary by not working. :(
The current EAD delays is certainly scary. Hope it is an exception not the norm.:mad:

I will like to ask your brain if this could be a problem as i did my H1 B Transfer twice before appling for my I 485 and everything went sucessful my GC sponsering Company is not in good terms they might have even revoke my I 140.
Is there any way to find out if my I 140 was revoked.
